The young man immediately to the left of the sign with the pipe in his teeth is my paternal grandfather, Harry George Fred Wakefield. He emigrated to Canada on the Niobe and arrived with the rest of the crew in October of 1910. He was 21 years old. I invite anyone else to join me and mark the date of the arrival of a family member to Canada.
