Humour Hunt

Lloyd Lovering of Brandon, Man., contributes this story from Scotland:

Jennie despaired that her boyfriend, a shy Canadian soldier, was ever going to pop the question. She finally decided she would have to ask him.

One evening by the river, she said: “Sandy, will ye marry me?”

“Yes,” Sandy said. But that’s all he said.

A happy Jennie said at last: “Sandy, you’re not saying much this evening.”

“No,” he replied, “I’ve said too much already.”
