Eyes…Right!

In the great tradition of TGIF, it feels correct to ignore recently deceased dictators (au revoir, monsieur Gaddafi) and dispense with protracted nation-building struggles in Central Asia (but read this anyway, an incredible story by a Legion mag contributor) and instead watch an adorable little boy, possibly Belgian, pay his respects to passing Canadian troops.

And watch as they return the honour.

This is very difficult to find within the blog if you don’t already know it’s here. I’ve been letting other Canadians and Legion branches know that this video exists on YouTube. As a result almost 6,000 more people have viewed it since I began publicizing its presence on You Tube. I’d like to have as many veterans and their families as possible see this video. I think it reminds them in a very touching way that, no matter where or when they served, their service will be remember longer and more deeply than they probably now suspect.
