Here are the answers to the Readers’ Quiz in the November/December issue of Legion Magazine. Kitcheners Wood was not named after of the British military leader. It takes its name from the kitchens French troops set up in the area in the early part of the First World War. The Royal Rifles of Canada and the Winnipeg Grenadiers were sent to perform garrison duty in Hong Kong when the Japanese invaded in 1941. No. 168 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force flew mercy missions with penicillin to Warsaw, Poland, in 1945.
