Dear Dad:
Just a card to let you know I have really enjoyed myself on leave and Scotland is sure a swell place. The people are swell to us. I have been to this bridge and it is a wonderful sight, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Take good note of the plaid Dad. Have to go back to camp tomorrow and how I wish I could stay here. Will write and tell you all about my leave.
Love Bill

Dear Dad:
I can really sling the old Scotch now but just in case you couldn’t follow me I won’t write any. Tried to get some good ones for you and the Doc and Dean but they don’t make them anymore I guess.
Will write soon,
Love Bill
