We have a funny-sad but true story from Leslie Mitchell of Curling, N.L.:
“In September, I was present at an appeal board hearing concerning my disability pension. The setting was much like a courtroom. My wife was there as a witness. We were questioned and cross-questioned. The meeting was less than cordial.
“When we left the room, my wife turned and said: ‘I thought I married a war veteran, not a war criminal.’”
