Wedding bells in the Netherlands

Mel Pittman, the co-ordinator/webmaster of the Canadian Provost Corps Virtual Association shares this photo of a happy service couple taken in Amsterdam, Nov. 22, 1945.

The photo shows Lieutenant Ralph Wightman and his Canadian Women’s Army Corps bride Muriel (nee Irwin) leaving the church following their wedding. Lining the left side of the walkway are members of the Canadian Provost Corps. Facing them are members of the CWAC. A reception followed at the Krasnapolsky Hotel.
