The Volkswagen with three German soldiers broke down in the desert.
“I’ll remove the radiator and take it with us so we’ll have water,” the leader said.
“I’ll take the hub caps for drinking cups and sun helmuts,” said the second.
“And I’ll take the doors,” said the third. “When it gets too hot we can roll down the windows.”
