Stan Scislowsk of Windsor, Ont., recalls that some guys during the war had the selfish habit of drinking your full beer while you were visiting the WC. Some losers began to take steps to protect their investment.
One soldier always left a sign beside his glass: “Don’t drink this beer- I spit in it.” This worked fine until the time he returned confidently to his full glass and found that someone had added three words to his sign: “So did I.”
