100-Year-Old Uniform

Fernand Levesque and his daughter, Lise, share photos of Fernand’s father, Edward, and mother, Hermosa, and the uniform Edward wore in the First World War. Edward served in the 42nd Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force.

“The photo of my grandparents,” explains Lise, “was taken in April 1919 after my grandfather came back from the war.”
