 A Sibling Celebration!

FSD-4-1

“They were all from Elora, Ont., and met up right after VE-Day—on May 11, 1945,” writes Susan Quinn of Truro, N.S. “They (Jim, Peggy and Jack Quinn) were in London, England. Jack, the youngest would be 26 in this picture. He is my father. They are all deceased now. Jack’s wife, my mother, lives at the Highland Manor in Fergus, Ont. She is 88 and she’s still very much with it and likes to chat about way back when.”

Susan says she doesn’t know much else about the photo. “It’s too bad folks of my generation don’t become interested in events of the war until it is too late due to death or dementia.”

We thank Susan for sharing this warm-hearted photo with our readers, and hope it will lead to other photo submissions from family members who want to share memories about parents or other loved ones who served in wartime.
