Find-Share-Discuss: September/October 2015

James E. Russell of Scarborough, Ont., sent us this photo of his maternal grandfather, Clifford Kemsley, on his return from the First World War to his family home in Toronto’s west end, possibly in 1917. Included in the photo are (from left) Clifford’s wife Jessie, sons Roy and Raymond, and seated on his knee, daughter J. Edna (James’s mother). Clifford re-enlisted in the Second World War, but was relegated to an assignment in Canada. Roy served with the Royal Canadian Air Force.
