Version 1 shows a cross-section of the post-war population…the very young, the very old and those in between. War respects neither age nor gender as history has recorded down through the ages. Version could have been taken anywhere…pre or post-war.

The second picture captures the impact of war better than the first. The child that relies on their parent’s strength, and the parent, part of those caught in the crossfire, doing her best to stay sane.
