A.O. Dodds of North Vancouver, B.C., gives us this account of a wartime conversation between two members of the 1st Hussars (6th Armoured Regiment).
“Did you get to the start line?” the truck driver asked the tank driver.
“Yes” said the tankman, looking gloomy.
“Well, I suppose you got right up to the front line?”
“We didn’t have to go far; we bumped into the Jerries, and they were bringing the front line to us.”
