I sincerely hope any story about The Battle of Britain describes the importance of “Convoys from Nova Scotia” which included, among other things, AVGAS, (100 octane gasoline) some of which came from Imperial Oil’s Dartmouth Refinery and was escorted to Britain by RN & RCN Warships. I am sure PM Churchill intended to include the Oil Refiners, Merchant Seamen and RN & RCN Sailors who brought this most valuable commodity to Britain when he voiced his Tribute to “the few” who saved Britain in 1940.
