Foundation receives donation, presents grant

The Legion National Foundation has received a donation of $15,000 from the Order of St. George. The order supports Canadian and American military personnel, first responders and their families who demonstrate need as a result of stressful duties performed at home or abroad, as well as other eligible organizations dedicated to veterans’ welfare. “We heard about many of the Legion National Foundation’s initiatives to help veterans, many of whom were suffering greatly and financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so we mobilized our first-ever national call to our membership to raise funds in support of veterans,” said Robert Hamilton, Order of St. George past president and lead on the fundraising project.
